I think political people want to be the police rather than having a police state. As a conservative, I want the government out of my life. It's not about trust. It was about 4 years of rage. Most conservatives would have preferred any Republican but him. He's damaged goods, but he had the support to lock out everyone else. It was him or Biden, democrats wouldn't read the room so they lost. I'm looking forward to seeing both sides seethe and scream in the next election.
