I guess it depends on how big of a ballistic missile stockpile you wanted them to have when the next conflict started or if they were going share those weapons with their allies. Iran with modern weapons would be a nightmare to deal with. The nature of war is changing and nothing is predictable anymore.

AI is just software. It's like building a skyscraper. If you can't understand how to create scope and boundaries for the data sets, why are you making it in the first place. It's not self aware. If your skyscraper suddenly falls over, it's on you. If your AI needs a kill switch, why can't you turn it off? Did you hire a monkey to train it?

I've always assumed dark *anything* was nonsense. I want science & math, not dark sorcery. All we know is that the numbers don't add up and we still don't understand a lot of things about how reality functions. We've made vast assumptions from our little mud ball. It might take thousands of years to work it out. Still, progress is happening.

That's why modern politics is what it is. People became lazy and stupid intellectually. People after WW2 could actually speak like humans. I've seen some impressive debates. It's weird how they predicted the modern audience/political views. After the late 90's, it's all monkey screams.

I've always found it to be performative. The Leftwing invokes the rule of law, Constitution and "rights" when it comes to criminals, illegals and defending their own extremism. The Right tends to do the same against anything they see as a threat to the nation. Neither is perfect. I think America is heading towards a more authoritarian no matter who wins any election. I feel Right is a bit safer and easier to fix later. The Left seems to actively want to destroy the nation by flooding illegals into America until they have the power to defund basic socialist services like border patrol, ICE, police, military, and prisons. Yeah, anarchy and violent mobs burning down cities don't seem very fun. I just want to live in the 1980's before people went crazy thanks to the internet. In the end, I think this is what happens when there are too many monkeys living in one place. Violence always wins, sadly enough.

I recall when teachers were pushing CRT into school. It wasn't pushed as a theory and would have caused riots if you changed the target 'race'. I strongly dislike AI. However, I'd prefer teachers simply stick to teaching the basics rather than pushing ideological ideas for the Left or Right. Far too many schools are failing at every level while eagerly pushing the "current thing."
