not to sound -bitter and outraged- but... did it never occur to those horribly like-minded dronish, insufferably annoying, pencil pushing, mad cow diseased, money grubbing, haemovoric ingrates that some of us players actually like to SEE what's on our screen as we're playing a game? Not to mention the OTHER annoyingly obvious point of fact... the one where some players actually like PLOT in their games. Most RPGs, for example.. they ought to read like a good book, and what do we have? nothing remotely like taht. Why? Becusae little boys like racing games, boobs, and kill kill kill. so what do the rest of us get? Brainless, moronic CRAP that doesn't intellectually envigorate a ROCk, let alone those of us with any mental capacity.
tht being said, I am all for innovation, insofar as it applies to everyone, not just the same subgroup of neanderthals who have been running (add an I to that and what do we have?? RUINING) the industry for the past 30 years. I mean, we had ZELDA, kiddies. ANd look what they did to it. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. NO HEART! They cut out Zelda's heart... literally. I mean, gosh. Why would we need PLOt and Intellectual value when we can just cookie dough an evil antiplot made of moldy tar paper and horse glue! COME ON! Not to say taht HALO isn't an extrememly satisfying method of entertainment...
