I emailed PBD a while back about this, offering to port Ardour to OS X. He specifically did NOT want this to happen. He didn't approve of OS X, saying that it was too proprietary...
He's like a function -- he returns a value, in the form of his opinion. It's up to you to cast it into a void or not. -- Phil Lapsley
