What about American exceptionalism?!?! Don't worry the internet is just fine the way it is. Soon gold plated eagles with laser eyes are gonna blast out of the American interwebs and run all the naysayers out of the country!

Will everyone stop freaking out already! Really! This isn't a big deal!

1. Right brained people doing a job that uses the - left hemisphere where "math" is stored. hmm you'll probably run into a lot of conversations like, "I was in the special ed math class."
2. People who spend their time communicating, or putting together business deals may not have the mental bandwidth or time to code properly. We divide labor for a reason. It's far more egalitarian to allow people to excel what they are naturally talented at.
3. Not everyone can "hyperfocus" to put code down properly - doesn't mean they are dumb. Can you swing a bat like Buster Posey? Write an essay like Orwell? Different skill sets.
4. There's a trend in the IT/Developer world that everyone should know how to code, and if you can't, well then you're second class. You're just one step above menial labor - here's a mop pal. Ton's of people work well with and around technology without a CS degree. It's a fact.

Perhaps in South America Mozilla should re-brand to, "Raposa de Fogo" Personally, I never jumped on the smartphone bandwagon. I've never owned an iPhone or a droid. I have one of those cheapy fake smartphones that are half-assed. I call people I text people - that's it. When I work I fire up Mint 13 on my laptop, and go to the shell, or whatever.Yet recently my friend who is a smartphone programmer asked me to test his app on IOS, so I'm buying an iPhone 5 as a favor to him. Maybe I should tell him to port it to Firefox Os. Then we can yell "Raposa de Fogo" together - toasting yerba matte while we brag about using "Raposa" before it was cool. ;-)
