Why is it important to argue about who uses steam the most between Linus and MacOS when most are gamers on Windows with their nuclear powered cooling systems on their overclocked PCs with enough lighted fans to light up a room? Who cares. If you are using a Mac, you aren't sitting there in your RGB fan lit room playing games.

I was working at the Byte Seattle in 1981. It was late in the year and a rainy night in Seattle. We closed at 6 and around 5:15 an older couple came in the store. I was closing and the only one there so I greeted them and we started talking. They were in their early 70's and retired and were bored and just stopped by to see what computers were all about. So I show them around and showed them the AppleII and what it could do. So I showed them some programs and talked about what the future held and at the time, I had staying after the store closed playing with our modem and signing on to BBS's, CompuServe and The Source. They asked me what they should buy so I gave them a price with a modem and The source and ComputorEDGE magazine and they bought it and took it home. Lo and behold, about 6 months later they come in and tell me all thee stories about all the fun they were having online with their computer discovering new things, using the mail system and chatting with people on BBS's. They also said that that computer saved their marriage. The other story is in 82, we had moved to a new store location in Seattle on 5th and Lenora. A nice corner location with tall windows. We put together a marketing campaign that was buy an AppleII computer with 2 disk drives and a monitor for your family for Christmas and you would be eligible for our circus themed computer camp held in Beaverton Oregon on February 11th. The kicker was that they weren't supposed to open the computer until the computer camp because we would open it with them and teach them ho two set it up and train them how to use it. About 2/3rd's of them didn't open their new computer ahead of time and made the over 300 mile trip from Seattle to Beaverton for the camp and it was a great success.
