I went into the office before COVID, during COVID, and right now. I have a job which I cannot perform from home. I've been an air traffic controller since 2007. If I were to try working from home, it would probably involve climbing up on my roof and waving flags and shouting through a bullhorn at airplanes passing overhead. The airline passengers probably wouldn't appreciate that.

Freeways in Los Angeles are already so congested that most people won't notice whether or not their car has been disabled. They'll simply roll to a stop on the freeway and think it's because of the usual traffic jam ahead of them.
