Journal nrek's Journal: newsmata.com - killing mass media's influence

June 3rd, 2007 -- Credibility, reputation, fact, truth and more importantly Information -- these are the terms of our generation, and our time. In this politically charged era when Internet and Information are readily available to thousands upon thousands of knowledge hungry on-lookers; who do you trust when it comes to the news? When you find who, can you believe what you read? How much fact versus fiction are you really looking at? Do you even know if you're getting the right picture? Are you getting the whole picture?

Micah Johnson, creator of NewsMata.com (www.newsmata.com), started out on a quest to 'get the big picture', in a presentable, broad spectrum, quick to read format, that he could look at and catch up on what's going on in the world. What happened as a result, opened up a world of knowledge and insight into what exactly is wrong with everything we see, every day. Shortly after his first algorithm was run to group news, blog and magazine articles for his NewsMata.com database, Micah suddenly found himself looking at shielded propaganda, unfiltered facts, misinformation, biased news, swayed stories, and all from the most unlikely of sources.

Our Free Nation's Mass Media Conglomerate has been suspected of shielding us from the truth, from keeping the blinders over the American people, by only giving us what they want us to see; and now, the suspicions are a viewable, tangible, reality.

Though NewsMata.com is still in final beta phases, and was pre-released just 3 days ago; the impact is already immediately clear on what it is capable of, and what it has already done. Some reader's may already be well aware of how "fair and balanced" media networks are, just by being in touch with what's going on, and others may not. With NewsMata.com, credibility and reputation are no longer a matter of subjective opinion, and thankfully, neither is our news.
