Comment Re:Visions of a privacy nightmare (Score 1) 154

It's clear Bozo's vision is that he gets to look at what every body does on "their computer", and nothing to do with what actual ownership might become.

Not only that, but also how they're manipulating supply to make his 'vision' happen:

Current market dynamics have made that prediction feel more plausible. DRAM prices have become increasingly untenable for consumers

From regulations created after many, many people were screwed over (see "Great Depress", "tech bubble", and 2008)?

Exactly - regulations exist for a reason and have a clear purpose.

For anyone who opposes regulations in their industry, the lack of any regulation should *affect them only*, not the greater population. Just like it did Stockton Rush.

Comment The irony (Score 2) 11

It's ironic in a way (though people may call it poetic justice) that he was assassinated while discussing gun violence.

Back in April 2023, he had said on gun violence/control (full quote so I don't get accused of leaving context):

"I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."

(I'll argue that God had nothing to do with this, but I digress)

Well, he certainly epitomized what he said. I'm sure his wife and kids are saddened by his loss (and give my condolences), but they should also be proud of his sacrifice for what he believe and stood for.

Comment Well, obliviously! (Score 1) 265

let's start a Civil War, because that is obliviously a great solution

Well "obliviously" you're oblivious to the fact that this is pretty much exactly what it's going to take to solve things at this point.

You've got a government illegally deporting US citizens in clear violation of court orders. Exactly what else are you going keep letting this rogue government do before you actually start doing something about it? Wait on Democrats to magically solve all this? Or do you still believe the Superman movies were actually documentaries?
