A lot of it is fear. For me personally I really want to get on with my life and stop being stuck at home. I had suffered a migraine Wednesday of last week which I get these a few times a year(less than 6). I got my first shot of Pfizer on Thursday. Friday I developed pressure in my ears and brain fog. The pressure in the ears comes and goes but brain fog hasn't gone away. It's almost like I can't concentrate. I went for my walk today and got hit with a migraine, not even 5 days later. I have been reading about this and there are people that have been getting them after the shot. Will these go away who knows...I hope my life isn't changed for the worst. I also have been reading people getting tinnitus related to the vaccine but of course the pharmaceutical companies deny it was caused by it. I guess that's the new norm. At this point if things do not improve for me I will not get the second dose.

Large companies in the US have deep pockets to pay lawyers. You can try to sue them and they may just give your money back to which you will be out of a carrier to go with. Also the other side is that they end up in court, you win and they constantly appeal to which you spend time/money with all of the paperwork or end up dropping the case.
