Is see many comments on many posts about selfhosting, here is the gist why that isnt possible either. oversimplified of course.

1. Domain-Registrar: if they wont work with you, you have no domainname -> no one will be able to find you
2. DNS: you can host yourself, but see point 1
3. Servers: you can buy, if someone sells to you, but you can land on no sales lists
4. ISP: if your isp says no, you got no ip-adress, no connection to the net
5. PowerCompany: well, if they dont work with you, you got no power

there are a lot more, but this should help most people.

many of these are controlled by big companies, if one says no, all say no. as it happens now with apple and google.

as of now, a connection to the internet is not a right, so... yea...
