Well.. i really wasn't making that big a deal about it, but point taken. I was less commenting on the mod system, which is fine, to the fact that most people don't stop and consider contributing back to the community and my conclusion that the mod reflected this.
I know that I for one haven't contributed what I'd like to the community, despite the fact that I'm constantly working on things that I could take and polish up and contribute.
I think it's very easy to make it one of those "Some Day" things, instead of making sure that we approach projects with this mindset to begin with.
Just a simple thought process change, with little extra work, would result in more being given back by the community. At least, that's my experience. YMMV.
