If You've taken the time to look at the computers in the CS dept. at NMSU (and I have) They're actually a network boot, providing two options at bootup, windows 2000, or linux. When turned on, the download the entire operating system image that the user has chosen. This I think is a great setup as it allows the user his choice without having to move from computer to computer to find the operating system he wants.
