Survey Says To UK — Repeal Laws of Thermodynamics 208

mostxlnt writes "As we noted, the new Tory UK government has launched a website asking its subjects which laws they'd most like repealed. There are proposals up for repeal of the Laws of Thermodynamics: Second, Third, and all (discussion thread on this one closed by a moderator). One comment on the Third [now apparently deleted] elucidated: 'Without the Third Law of Thermodynamics, it would be possible to build machines that would last forever and provide an endless source of cheap energy. thus solving both potential crises in energy supply as well as solving the greenhouse gas problem in one step... simples... eh?'"

Most of the claims you make are incorrect. Please see http://www.bangaloretrafficpolice.gov.in/traffic_provisions.htm

Section 158: Any person driving a motor vehicle in any public place, shall, on being required by a Police Officer in uniform, produce:
  1. certificate of Insurance
  2. certificate of registration
  3. driving license
  4. in case of transport vehicles, also the certificate of fitness and the permit

I think, certificate of fitness includes emission certificate which you need to get every 6 months.

New Species Of Great Cat Found 51

highwaytohell writes "Scientists have found a new species of leopard on Borneo and Sumatra. The Bornean Clouded Leopard or Neofelis Diardi was originally thought to be similar to the mainland Clouded Leopard. However, Dr Stephen O'Brien, Head of the Laboratory of Genomic Diversity, US National Cancer Institute says, "Genetic research results clearly indicate that the clouded leopards of Borneo should be considered a separate species, DNA tests highlighted around 40 differences between the two species." The news comes just a few weeks after a WWF report showed that scientists had identified at least 52 new species of animals and plants over the past year on Borneo."
