I have a record with a sleeve that says "home taping is killing music" with an amazing cassette skull and cross bones:

Wait, WTF, that's what you're talking about. I didn't see it in the subject. Sorry.
I use the Chrome plugin called "Empty New Tab Page", which I think may be what you're looking for. I looked at several of them before deciding on this one...
Because the image URLs are rewritten to the Google proxy server, you can no longer copy and paste rich text with embedded images from Gmail into another application. That really sucks. I need to do that all the time for a certain client. It looks like I'm now going to have to get a separate webmail service just to be able to copy and paste rich text. Ridiculous.
The persistent "top stories" garbage is basically the reason I deactivated my Facebook account and haven't been back in a year. I couldn't handle the "random chaos feed" taking back over randomly. It was so frustrating to be going down the feed and then realizing that it's all out of order and you've already read parts of it. Seriously, WTF. I hope they don't screw up Instagram like that.
It's strange that they're only targeting Grande Vanilla Lattes. But they must know what they're doing!
I absolutely agree with this. In my home life, I search because Gmail Search actually works. At the office with Outlook, search is terrible, so I just put a few important things in a saved folder and delete everything else. And clear out my trash every quarter.
I do the same thing! They will not stop sending me "Network Update" emails, even though I have turned them off in mail settings. No response to two support requests. That site is such a pain in the ass.
I love the idea of the feature -- I hate stopping to listen to voice mails.
"Hi, My name is The bring the Anderson and I was interested in ordering. I'll call. Sarah, Mrs. Kate, on the Hudson birthday. He really liked all here in the for you. So, anyway, I would see it for next Sunday. I'm not sure where they said of. It's Hey Lady, Thank tonight anyway. If you can just give me a back. My phone number is 972."
Good to know about the "helpful? / donate" feature (from a comment above), which I did for this one...
TI engineers leave to form Cyrix -> National Semiconductor acquires Cyrix -> Texas Instruments acquires National Semiconductor.
(note: Cyrix's empty husk was actually sold off by National circa 1998)
Economists can certainly disappoint you. One said that the economy would turn up by the last quarter. Well, I'm down to mine and it hasn't. -- Robert Orben
