PDF has issues. I've seen PDFs that have custom fonts. This was done on purpose to prevent using the financial data that was in a table. The PDF rendered and printed fine but you can't copy-paste or import the data into another app. Copy-paste / import gives junk as the font only existed in the PDF. Had to use OCR to extract the data from the document.

My 16 panels are 400W per panel, made in Chinese, installed 2y7m ago and in summer they peak at 400W per panel (6.4kW total).

1 GBP = 0.81 USD
44 pounds = 0.044 pounds/kWh = 0.0494 USD/kWh = 4.94c/kWh
77 pounds = 0.070 pounds/kWh = 0.0864 USD/kWh = 8.64c/kWh
But wouldn't it be nice if we as a civilization had progressed beyond the point where we did shit like this? We're talking about cutting off over a billion people from access to advanced technology. It's an utterly stupid thing to do from a purely rational standpoint.
China is one of a handful of countries propping up Russia in its war of aggression against democracy and world order. They are what we technically call "the enemy", along with North Korea and Iran. We do far, far too much business with China. It's OK to have them supplying us with cheap shit that will be no big deal if it disappears. Relying on them for anything important is a huge strategic mistake.

The "global south" is on Russia's side against NATO. Global south represents the majority of the worlds population. US has various embargoes & sanctions against ~27 countries.
It's not just encouragement, it's laws preventing the import/export of Chinese technology, and requiring it to be ripped out of production and replaced with American gear.
Not just in the US, other allied countries are being encouraged to do the same.
That's a massive subsidy.
