It's not clear what a somewhat forward-thinking audience is, but I'd say there is no way to do it. DRM has never worked, you will always find someone who'll buy it, but there is not much of a market because it cripple the product. People buy music/movies/books because they want to, not because they can't get it otherwise. DRM prevents them from buying. Besides most DRM is very easy to work around, eventually you'll have to give them the 'key' to use whatever it is they purchased. After that it is mainly a matter of time before they extract the content. What other non-drm solution would you think of? Anything would be easy to share. You could create unique pdf's with unique passwords but one would still share the pdf+pass. You could just ask them not to share it of course...

I don't doubt this. I wonder if this article was written years ago. I never understood how serious webdesign / development could be done with dreamweaver
