Is the author talking about the same Apple? The love of geek never went away. If you think that, you clearly have never used an Apple product. Although far from perfect, They have done what no other company has done or attempted. They make systems so easy a 2 year old can use it at frist try (google the video) with almost literally a secret button for geeks. Out of box try running a perl script in windows command prompt. Now try it in OSX terminal... hmmm that's funny. You can run perl code out of box in OSX. WOW that's funny OSX still has a fully functional unix command line. Why can't they just put a button for geeks and a button for grandma? I'll tell you why. Grandma is virtually 99.9 percent guaranteed to push the geek button. Who is she going blame when she downloads a malicious app? Who is mr I think i'm geek going to blame when his iPhone starts locking up every 30 seconds. If you answered Apple, there may be a good chance you have actually done tech support of some fashion. That's fine for Microsoft, I'm mean seriously do they really need to worry about reputation hahahahaha. What else are you going to use?. When you entire company is built off the repuation of quality. Its sheer genius what they do. While I don't doubt the skill of the jail breakers. If they really wanted to lock down the iPhone/iPad, don't you think they could?

I have to deal with news stations, and yes all of them, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc etc that slant news to their demographic. let me view the **** video unedited and let me make up my own freaking mind about the events. The way they did this is so beyond wrong and whether or not you agree with them, more people should be giving them a proverbial *** whooping for telling people what they should think about the video before they even watch. The worse part is the whole thing is posioned now and now that they have shown a massive bias. I personally will never be able to take wikileaks seriously again. How do I know now all those documents they release now aren't edited towards some political agenda?

I've thought the same thing. It seems suspicious at times to me. The PS3 which doesn't benefit at all from people hacking it; I mean when you think about it, people aren't going to buy PS3's to hack them. It's rather bullet proof. It's been kinda hacked, but it took, what 3 years? Same thing with iTunes. For a piece of software running on a open platform. It's been very difficult to get through. Back when iTunes music was still drm'd last hack I ever knew of wasn't even getting through the software, it was tricking the auth servers to giving the key. No one could even figure out where the key was being stored! So a closed platform running on closed hardware and it gets hacked in one day. I smell marketing.

I've heard about these type of studies for years, and the explanations they pose. The problem is, most of the time when people experience NDE, they, are, um... dead. They have no brain waves and no heart beat. The key item being is NO BRAIN ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY. Science, I love you, but dead men dream no dreams, including about the after life. So please explain to me how a brain that is flat line on the monitor is producing, and i quote you "intense hallucinations"

That's funny, i only buy apple products because they meet my needs (wants) that other companies seem unwilling to.

Small example. Bought a first gen Zune as it was a little nicer then the iPod 5g that had come out a year before. Problem Is I wanted a video store.

After all what the hell is the point of a nice screen, for um music?. I wanted my tv shows.movies to go and I wanted them now. Microsoft said they were getting a video store so I waited... and waited... and waited. Finally got a iPod instead. It took microsoft till 2008 3 freaking years after apple to get a video store. Apple, funny thing opened their store in 2005.

Let them dominate. Let them make a zillion dollars as long as I get what I want. When they start making what I don't want I will stop buying.
