Comment Methane does not last longer in the atmosphere (Score 0) 72

The summary quotes TFA as saying "As a greenhouse gas, methane is about 28 times more potent in terms of global warming potential than carbon dioxide and lasts much longer in the atmosphere," but the "and lasts match longer in the atmosphere" part is not actually there in the linked article. It is also not true, at least if you are to believe the Wikipedia article titled "Atmospheric methane" which says methane has an atmospheric half life of 9.1 years vs. more than 100 years for CO2.

Comment Yes, and I don't need my own printer to do it (Score 4, Informative) 251

I have been designing and 3D printing objects for my own use a couple of years now, and I still don't own a 3D printer. I just upload my files to Shapeways and the finished pieces are delivered to my door.

Back in the day before digital cameras, I also used to take photos on film, but I didn't have my own darkroom. Same thing.
