I've seen what happens when atheists take power in a country. Anyone care to relate what the usual outcome is?
Yes, they become an economic superpower and they slowly take the place of the USA on the world stage.
A very nice country, with very nice, hard-working but still fun-loving (take that, calvinists!) people, thank to them not having religious hangups and neuroses.
It was so early that it actually was printed by some service and (snail-)mailed to me...
More than 35 years ago, well before the Internet, BBSes ruled.
One I was a pillar of was nothing but a wall where you would post anonymously (or not).
The software was written to verify the typing rate to make sure that no text was uploaded
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
I wrote a special terminal program that would randomize the time between characters to foil that BBS's rejection of uploads...
(Oh, it worked, and the dude running the show never found out).
Most retail businesses will add the tariffs on their existing inventory. This is normal and it's not to "make a quick buck", but to be able to restock. In some cases they may be able to absorb one restock cycle with profits (to get a price advantage over competitors), but given that retail margins are usually low, if something got stupidly high increases like a 20% or 50% tariff, you need to plan ahead or you'll end up understocked
Millions of people are proficient with Photoshop, and they hit a wall whenever they have to work with GIMP, which really earned it’s name.
But nooooo. GIMP is marred by an arcane UI thought off by geeks who have no clue about professional workflow.
I remember taking three hours trying to do what takes 2 minutes with Photoshop. This experienced burned GIMP for me in a very durable way!
But I think Amtrak is already (or was) using Sabre, so plugging them into Google Flights is really no big deal.
So this means that companies will hire a lot of people and work half of them 80 hours per week for 2 weeks, then offer them nothing for the next two weeks while the other half will be working the other 80 hours (page 592).
Interesting article, but what brought the biggest switch was when Nixon opened the republican party’s doors wide-open to the racists who fled the democratic party after Johnson passed the civil rights act.
