Yes & that's just what I done (although it doesn't
know didly sqoo about proxies so I can't run
it on most of my machines).

My point was more that having a .deb would make
it visible to sysadmins - who by and large have
the larger. more powerful boxes. Plus some nice
init.d scripts to kick off at boot time, etc
etc...
