Slashdot was my homepage and favorite news source for over a year so I decided to open an account. Nonprofit work on community-centered lawyering (read: no IT budget) and my remarkable younger brother (a software designer) helped me to discover software and the open source movement. Other stuff: I have a philosophy degree, a small private law practice and a beautiful girlfriend in Missoula, Montana. We read, write, eat, drink scotch, watch bad television and take care of our cats. Recent news: I converted my law office to OpenOffice and am learning --- at a slow pace --- about the history of open source, technology and code.
