This is the kind of behavior I'd expect from a panicked corporation -- very much in touch with its own mortality, and sensing the possibility (or inevitability) of demise. It's strange that with so much excessive cash the RIAA has accumulated over the years they'd be feeling threatened, but they must know what's going better than the likes of me.

In short, RIAA is no longer needed by the artists OR the consumer, and they know it. So I'm going to sit back and watch them bury themselves. Should be fun!
