Comment Why is chrome so widespread ? (Score 2) 84

Most people use it and when i ask why not firefox (as nearly every single other major navigator uses chrome anyway) they pretty much all say it's "faster".

Is it thou ? i'm using firefox since i can't remember when so i can't compare but my bet is that there isn't much difference in speed between chrome and firefox. only influence.

You either offer a search algorithm that's known, that is your service + a video hosting platform.
Or, you clearly take party and censor what you think is "bad".

By letting the content in the platform AND discriminating it you're being hypocrite, manipulative and sneaky.

Ideas are the best thing to fight ideas, and that fight can't be won by censorship.

Hell, if people want to believe or watch fantastical videos for entertainment what's the harm ? just let people explain their truth in other videos and do the right thing for referencing. for all I know, this could only bring more traffic to the platform and raise engagement.

I am still amazed seeing big corporations (Siemens, GE, etc...) doing information management work through contractors.
Was there any risk assessment in the decision making of putting a contractor in front of such data ? (on a fucking spreadsheet)

He was a contractor for 10 years, did it occur to them to, maybe, offer him his position as an employee ? they clearly needed him for 10 years

Your answer implies I said i didn't believe in humans walked on the moon. when in fact i didn't say that.
As far as moonlanding goes, I don't believe nor disbelieve it happened, I didn't get any think that convinces me either way. and frankely I don't care that much.

As a non native English speaker I learned that when we use "first" in stories it implies other events of the same nature, do other moonlanding missions happened ?
Also, I consider myself relatively reliable, when i tell a story i like to explicitly mention what type of affirmation it is: did i see it myself ? did i hear it from somebody, who was it ? did i see it on tv ? was it news / documentary / movie ?

Isn't the finality of every language is to ultimately produce assembly instructions?
I mean, if they were all created to provide a layer of abstraction to programmer, python -and shell code- do it better than C. And that's certainly the reason why python, and shell scripts, are mostly use to orchestrate the usage of other programs written in other languages.
It's all about the right tool in the right context. That's the only wisdom there is.
