I've been working with IQinvision's IQEye 511 camera (www.iqeye.com) for the past couple of months...
The IQEye cams are a good place to start. Axis is certainly a big vendor also, but IQEye is a better price.
(I work closely with a video surveillance software company, this comes straight from my buddies there.)
