Journal minusX's Journal: Slashdot Tag System

Is anyone else annoyed by the abuse of the tagging system on Slashdot? Whenever there is a question somewhere in the body(though usually the end) you can expect the tags of "yes, no, maybe" always. Heaven forbid someone is too busy to comment on the post, they just tag it and run. Tags like "slownewsday" and "haha" really don't need to be there. The point of tagging is for easier searching down the line, I expect people won't search "haha" or "slownewsday" down the line, so why are people still tagging things like this? And yes, I know if this gets accepted I'll see "haha, slownewsday, yes, no, maybe" right away. Maturity on the Internet is a rare find these days, more so when tags don't even let you "sign" them. Soon we might have mod points for tags.
