You are wrong about the second amendment - its not only about self defense, it is more about prevention of a tyranical government. It was written with the mindset of rebels who just were able to defend not only themselves but rebel against a bad government, they wanted us to have that same ability to defend against a government gone completely rogue.
Gun control -- is about being able to hit your target!
This concept is worse than the "red flag" laws that are popping up.
Let's violate your rights cause someone thinks or claims you are dangerous -- Bad whether its a computer or human beings doing it.
We need to work on the "cause of violence" not the tools used. And notice I said violence not "gun violence". Gun violence should not be isolated as a separate phenomanom. Don't blame the tool for what the user does.
Do we blame the car when a drunk hits and kills someone - NO
De we blame the alcohol manufacturer - NO
Never hear anyone these days going BAN ALCOHOL or BAN CARS because of all the people they kill each year.

As I said in my other post this was poor planning.
With generic terms that describe a position there needs to exist multiple accounts.

@POTUS would/should always point to current President Of the US

@POTUSxx would point to President (if xx is 45 - Trump, if xx is 46 - Biden)

Just having ONE account @POTUS and turning it over would create confusion for users looking at past posts -- Do we list every @POTUS post there ore only current administration? Given the audience of twitter not being all rocket scientist you can see how a sheeple would see contradictary post and blame wrong individual.

People that are trying t really follow government would follow @POTUS
People wanting to just follow their parties winner would follow @POTUSxx
Archive searching would be easy and virtually a flip a of a switch.

Upon change from @POTUSxx to @POTUSxx+1, if a user is following @POTUSxx and not @POTUS, they would be prompted on login to migrate to current and recommending @POTUS versus the xx account.

Pluto — a Complex and Changing World 191

astroengine writes "After 4 years of processing the highest resolution photographs the Hubble Space Telescope could muster, we now have the highest resolution view of Pluto's surface ever produced. Most excitingly, these new observations show an active world with seasonal changes altering the dwarf planet's surface. It turns out that this far-flung world has more in common with Earth than we would have ever imagined."

Whatever Happened To Second Life? 209

Barence writes "It's desolate, dirty, and sex is outcast to a separate island. In this article, PC Pro's Barry Collins returns to Second Life to find out what went wrong, and why it's raking in more cash than ever before. It's a follow-up to a feature written three years ago, in which Collins spent a week living inside Second Life to see what the huge fuss at the time was all about. The difference three years can make is eye-opening."

I've used everything from the slip of paper in the wallet to encrypted files on the pc.

My current choice is SplashID Desktop/iPhone

This app runs on the iPhone, Windows and Mac and syncs wireless between the iPhone and the desktop.

When I was carrying a Windows Mobile device I used Handy Desktop Safe that has a WM app so it was on the phone/PDA and the windows machine.

My criteria other than security (encryption) is that the tool work on multiple paltforms depending on the device that living in my pocket at the time.

I even had opne for my Palm Pilot back in the day.
