What's really scary is if these things takes off, Walmart could start advancing into the retail software market. Think about it - buy up some noname Linux officeware products. Put on a Walmart brand and a big gold "Works with Walmart PCs!" sticker. Price at, for example, $25 a copy and put it on the shelf, just for kicks, right next MS' $500 hunks of crap. Now which system is Joe User going to buy? Somehow I doubt Walmart will shelve free software for these machines. Curse their black hearts.
