From my understanding, its multiple buildings. They're going to be pretty freaking huge, but still multiple buildings. Iowa already has tax incentives to help attract companies like Google and Microsoft. I'm not surprised that Facebook is building there. 2 separate power grids (with lots of wind energy), no flooding, you can build buildings to withstand some pretty powerful winds [ Take a tour of LightEdge's data center right across the Interstate to see for yourselves ] not to mention all the dark fiber running all across the state.

I think its good for Iowa, but I think you hit the point where its a bit of bragging rights and inflation of the numbers to get even more tax breaks and special considerations like lower rates on water, etc. But when it comes down to it, its not going to create many long term high paying jobs which is what the politicians will tout. It will make a few average income workers that will quickly burn out when they realize that they are server monkeys just replacing a server when the light flashes red and nothing more.

I don't use them personally and we have very few customers at my current job that will request them.

I used to work for an anti-spam company and the request would come in from time to time to have SPF checking built into our appliances. As developers, we did see the benefit of it. But at the time, there was the SPF vs SenderID vs Domain Keys battle going on. Who would win out?

As it appears years later, no one really did.

The problem with the technology is adoption rates. Unfortunately, many of these technologies are not being adopted by the masses. I'm not saying its hurting you by having these in place, but it also might not be doing as much good as you think that it is.

LightEdge Solutions (http://www.lightedge.com/) was actually the first hosting provider to have full integration with Broadsoft on the UC front. Very reasonable prices for Exchange, OCS + a hosted PBX seat all tied together.

My company will be installing MailFoundry in the next month. It has shown to catch more spam than IronPort and ProofPoint in our internal testing. It was also a lot faster than the other two. We have been having issues with Postini catching false positives and not allowing us to filter our outbound mail.

MailFoundry offered great kill rates, faster throughput and outbound filtering for a cheap price.

They're definitely worth a look.
