Bingo. I'm flabbergasted this took a whole study. My wife (who I admit is a pretty bright bulb) figured out the winning technique after a couple losing efforts. Put in your best bid right at the end and be done with it.

Just heard JCD on CBC just now. Kind of annoying how the interviewer, taking Dvorak's opinion on the rise of the Mac (and the iPod specifically), has to pretend (?) his bash has merit. Nevermind challenging the bullshit -- with some people the interviewer only need ask one question: were you really unpopular in high school?
