I own a video game store and the figures are true we only make $1 to $2 dollars on new systems. Actually in order to get the new hardware some distributors require us to purchase a bunch of crappy software just to get a system. When the PS2 slims came out in order to get some I had to buy a bunch of crappy Sony titles that we are still stuck with. That is why a lot of stores sell systems in bundles.
