At this point, you're entering a chicken and egg debate. We have methods of AI learning, we have plenty of complex routines, but we lack the processing power to implement them. If this can take care of the low-level processes and free up power, we can look forward to utilizing better algorithms.
Your attitude just brings about a Catch-22: Can't do better AI without more power/dedicated AI processing, but you can't justify more power/better AI processing because current AI is subpar.
