Sounds like we have to choose between Mao Zedong (politics > skill) and Deng Xiaoping (the cat can be of any color, as long as it catches the mice)...
Real Programmers don't write in PL/I. PL/I is for programmers who can't decide whether to write in COBOL or FORTRAN.
