buying a 2nd-hand tractor and spending months and a fortune on repairing it after it broke twice was precisely why he began the OpenSourceEcology project... with an open-design fully-documented tractor as the first project.
Well, we built the first prototype in 2008 - https://wiki.opensourceecology..., we got near product release with the MicroTrac in 2017 - https://wiki.opensourceecology..., and in 2020 we're taking it to the finish line with a product release of the MicroTrac - built using an open source CNC torch table - built using our open source 3D printers.
