Ok, I just wrote a reply. I think it's going to have troll ratings, but I couldn't care less.

ok this is my first entry in this journal... I'm a UNIX administrator (Solaris) and Oracle DBA all at once. Since I took over the Oracle job from another guy not so long ago, I didn't get a chance to check out the backups yet. In two days the EMC is going down and all my datafiles and other shit are stored on that box. Now let's just say... the EMC is really fucked up so firmware updates are needed... blah blah blah going to do overtime here. BUT the Open Market database has never been backuped before :) So this morning I wrote some export scripts... what a day... and no weekend to wish for :/
