10 ^ 33 can't possibly be anywhere close to the numbers of atoms in the universe. Assuming that most of our assumptions about the universe are correct, a more reasonable estimate would be 10 ^ 80.

I think there are 5 rabies survivors in total; first JG, then 2 more using the exact same protocol, and 2 more with a revised protocol (no ribavirin). So 5 survivors out of 36 treated.
