Re:Am I the only one who thinks Dune sucks? (Score 1)

I found Dune very hard to read and tried 3 times as well over a 15 year period. What I found that helped is in that during that time period I read the White Plague and the Jesus Incedent, Lazerus Effect, and Acension Factor all by Frank Herbert. Those books were equally hard to get into but I got a feel for his writing style. I then read Dune and loved it. I hated Dune Messiah and Children of Dune but loved the rest. I also think that there should have been at least one more book after Chapter House Dune. This being said I hated House Atreides and couldn't finish it.
