Comment I love Anime, but ... (Score 1) 224
I love Japanese anime, but it somehow bugs me to watch it dubbed in English. Perhaps it's because I spent a college summer vacation (3 months) in Yokohama where I first started watching a LOT of anime. Whenever I see Cowboy Bebop or InuYasha in English, it just seems weird.
My knowledge of the Japanese language is basic, but I still prefer to hear the original soundtrack with English subtitles. Especially for movies like Miyazaki's. It's gotta be sub'd, not dub'd. As it is, I end up buying most of my DVDs directly from Japan and use my region-free DVD play to watch them. Expensive, but it's the only way to go.
I really wish the cartoon network as well as some of the other networks that show Japanese anime would show *some* of their shows in the original Japanese.
