China? Imperialist? Is that a joke? Don't you mean the US? If your assertion is substantiated by evidence, then by definition they would need to have a presence in multiple countries from which to influence their empire. Let's count the number of military bases they have abroad and the number of US bases abroad. China: 1 (Djibouti). US: 750+. At least try to come up with some excuse to ban China. They're yellow, or they don't speak American, therefore they must be plotting something evil behind our backs, like what other evildoers do. That's the essence of it all. That of course, and that the US decided that it now owned Taiwan and the South China Sea and can engage in what is euphemistically called freedom of navigation acts at will. At least FDR knew what he was doing in regard to Japan prior to 1941. Goading the Japanese. The US population now seems completely oblivious to what is going around them. Then again, nothing really changed.

You know what's really preposterous about the US? You guys keep acting like the planet is yours, your economic interests are paramount and everyone else must be subservient to them, or else... We're living in the surface of a sphere floating in space, with a finite area, finite resources, a growing population. There will be a point where there won't be enough resources to sustain the entire population and the ecosystem that sustains us all will be under stress and under threat of collapse. It's a matter of when, not if. We don't think in the long term, only on the short term. In the midst of all the problems that we have: global pandemic(s), (in)security situation thanks to absurd cold war era policies (really, unlimited NATO expansion Eastwards without consequences?), global warming, unprecedented crisis. In the middle of all this, here we have again, the US refusing to act cooperatively to solve problems, but trying to act unilaterally to defends its own interests to the detriment of the remaining 194 countries on the planet and its 7 billion inhabitants. Is that a cultural deficiency or what? Are you guys genetically unable to cooperate and think in mutually beneficial cooperation? Because everything seems to be a competition for you guys. Even your "allies" (what you refer to allies is in reality vassals and tributary states) are getting pissed off to the point of backstabbing you gently at every opportunity (it's what vassals do). Honest question. Are you guys really unable to think in equal basis cooperation, mutual respect? Yes, i know, it is China Digital Yuan we're talking about here, China the boogeyman. If it wasn't China it would've been Russia. Or Iran. Or Syria. Or Lybia, Or Venezuela. Or Hungary. Or anyone that won't submit and insists in sovereignty. This will inevitably reach the point where conflict will be the only way out, and under the threats mentioned above, it will be a terminal and civilization ending conflict. The planet will be fine in the long term (as long as we have a stable sun), but us, as a society, as civilization? It's like some kind of massive inferiority complex where you guys have to prove you are the best at everything, but end up corrupting everything and in the name of, admittedly honorable ideals, end up committing the most brutal atrocities and monstrosities - and all under a lovely shiny beautiful varnish. Under that varnish however....

Well, you keep hacking everyone too and you advertise it publicly, calling it "offensive cyberwarfare". Being engaged exactly in the same actions are you are accusing others of being engaged in, and feigning outrage at that, is an untenable position. It'll invite others to point precisely to this fact. There are several expressions for it, one of the most popular ones being "the white elephant in the room". In this era of post-truth, post-politics, and massive orchestrated propaganda streams everywhere you call it "being an Ivan", or "whataboutery" when you wan to dismiss someone from pointing this to you. In reality it's just showing that someone has no authority to claim something. I mean, come on, you've been hacking everyone, friend or foe since ever. Example, hacking the EU communications and Airbus, in order for Boeing to have an commercial advantage. Hacking the communications of EU leaders. Come on. You surely had a hand as well in the systematic hacking campaigns against Iran together with Israel as well. The last country in the world that can call someone out for "hacking" (and much more) is precisely the US.

And for that, we have cultural correctness committees patrolling social media, digging up decades old posts in order to make sure you're ideologically pure and your desire for a cultural new order is sincere. Fail that test, and you're cancelled and work erased. Just like in the Stalinist regimes, your photo is carefully retouched away from the group photo and you're wiped out from history.
Some time ago there was a series of photos made of all the important personalities in the open-source world. Pretty much everyone was there, with one glaring omission. You can guess who had been erased. And just like Mao's cultural revolution, you'll be forced to publicly repent and apologize, and only if your apology is deemed sincere you'll be granted crumbs in this new ideological new order. And you'll be thankful for it.

So my dear trans-Atlantic cousins. Your cyclotimical witch-hunting impulses would be hilarious, if they weren't so tragic and weren't eating away the fabric of your society with potentially unforeseen consequences for yourselves and the rest of the world.
That we have indoctrinated sociopaths in this very thread defending the excision of someone and their contributions from public life due to "incorrect opinions" and defending more "inclusive societies" by excluding from society, should speak for itself, yet willing blindness or absolute indoctrination will prevent them from even realizing how untenable their positions are.
Most of the people by now watch this in dismay and silence, lest their views be used against them, But watch as they vote, and in whom they vote. Those aren't Russians "manipulating elections". Those are the people which you terrorize and who loose their livelihoods, families, which are erased. They keep smiling, and they spout all the politically correct views and accepted behavior, in public. But in private they'll use every opportunity to make their real views felt. Which is why the last step in this noble goal of creating the new ideologically pure (and inclusive) Man is removing or at least controlling who gets to vote.
But here too you're oblivious.

You guys over there really can't accept Hillary was an abomination that deserved to loose, and lost. Perhaps 10, 20 years from now when this mass hysteria dies off a bit someone can look back objectively at the past and make something resembling a bit of a self critique. It's also interesting that for someone that was allegedly a puppet at the mercy of Putin, the Omnipotent, his administration was quite aggressive in relinquishing international treaty obligations, and just abandoning treaties in order to punish Russia by direct and indirect means. This isn't a defense of Trump, he was clearly an imbecile and demagogue without the slightest bit of qualifications for the job, but he won, and his victory was never accepted. An enemy had to be found. Now that you guys over there are stuck in this spiral of vitriol and hate against Russia, you might actually end up with something bigger in your hands. You're out of your mind. Production slots are negotiated with plenty of time in advance, think years, and contracts are water tight. Were TSMC to "dump AMD" in order to satisfy Intel production needs then two things would happen immediatly. The first one would be a massive and perhaps irrecoverable hit to TSMC as a reliable supplier. No one would dare their trust their roadmap execution to TSMC. It would be a bonanza for TSMC competitors. Not that there are many presently, mostly Samsung Electronics on the advanced nodes only. The second one would be the well deserved lawsuit for break of contract that AMD would swiftly file. A lawsuit that would be easily won. Both things would not serve TSMC in the least, and whatever is negotiated with Intel would not in the least compensate TSMC for this. I doubt the article is correct. TSMC production is fully booked for 2021 for a start. Production for 2022 is 80% booked. And in 2021 AMD has *trial runs* of Zen 4 on 5nm. At the very best, by some miracle, perhaps Intel would get some trial runs at 5nm at the end of 2021. I doubt it. It's more likely whomever wrote the article mistook the dates. 2022 seems likely, 2021 not so much.
