Remember (with your mind's mind), there was a time when modifying history was allowed. That was forever back ago when we had only oral history. (Just think about your own personal current oral histories (which are by definition group histories)...family history...elementary school history...co-workers history...just think about societies you were once in and stories that you now share with the old society members...is everyone's version the same?...) All versions of oral history are therefore inaccurate. Even the first telling of a story is, at the very least, incomplete, even by the best storyteller. Do you get it?

Life would be so much easier if we could just look at the source code. -- Dave Olson
