Noticed for the first time yesterday the astonishing resemblance between Steve Ballmer and Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz (Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.) Ahhhh! Now I get it! Stick the Babel fish in your ear, and you can hear it loud and clear: "Resistance is USELESS!!!!"

I guess this is Eric Laithwaite's linear motor again. Wonderful, isn't it? Japan gets trains going at 361MPH, whilst the UK - the birthplace of the inventor of the technology - gets trains going at 125MPH (barring snow, leaves, sun, clockwork running down, etc.)
