I must say I find this interesting. A mathematician against crypto. I have to admit, in my ignorance I had assumed the opposite would be true.
The writer most likely:
a) Knows many mathematicians.
b) Is a mathematician himself.
c) None of the above.
So you are pretty sure I don't know many mathematicians but can't tell if I am "another scammer"? I will give you a hint. I don't really care if you are for or against cryptocurrencies I just hoped you had an educated/logical reason why. That way this discussion could have some merit. I think it is clear at this point that will not happen.
If you really want to "fight" against cryptocurrencies talk about centralization concerns or even the guy talking about the Bitcoin mafia has a better argument. This stuff about the intrinsic value of "interesting" numbers has no meaning here unless you have yet to make a point. A bank account number, credit card number, and bitcoin address all have zero intrinsic value regardless of how interesting the numbers may be or the non intrinsic value they represent.
Perhaps look up the difference between fiat currency and commodity money and maybe read the white paper. You should definitely not invest in cryptocurrencies you clearly don't know enough to avoid being scammed.
The fact that there are many ways to con suckers is NOT any sort of fault of cryptocurrency.
