I think they bought the company to kill the product so that it can't be used against Joe Rogan. I guess I have seen too many instances of companies buying a technology just so they can kill it.

Same here. All state and public university employee pay is public in my state. Probably others, too.

I have seen that many times at universities. Candidates see the high end and their eyes light up. Management budgeted for the low end. You would have to be an exceptional candidate to ever get hired at the midpoint.

Having worked at a public institution that posted all salary ranges, it typically goes something like this:

"Wanted: programmer ($40,000 to $80,000)"

Management is thinking 40k or maybe as high as 42k while the applicants are thinking 75k.

Since GDPR first came out, I have heard that line about it applying to data of EU citizens and it doesn't matter where the server is. Yet, I have never seen an explanation of how that is possible. Can anyone tell me? What legal mechanism allows one political entity to declare that their law applies throughout the whole world?

Why should I care about EU laws? I am not in the EU and their laws do not apply to me, regardless of what they think.

And in the real world, companies use lots of different 3rd-party services to aid their sites/services: they load fonts from Google or Typekit, they load JS libraries off of CDNs, they use marketing scripts from Marketo, adroll, 6sense, terminus, etc., etc., etc.

Take a look at the photos: the keys with multiple characters have the upper- and lowercase characters printed NEXT TO each other. These are a hard pass for me. Those are the keys I tend to have to glance at to make sure I'm getting the correct character. With, these I have to try to remember whether the character on the left is shifted or not. Nope. I have an expensive Corsair keyboard that is just gathering dust because Corsair thought that is was OK to print the lowercase character ABOVE the uppercase one. At first, I couldn't figure out why I was making so many typos while coding. Then it hit me. That keyboard sits on the floor and I am using a 25-year-old COMPAQ keyboard instead.

Depends on details of the purchase:

Are they being run as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Apple, Inc? Then why change how they have been running? Let this unit continue to produce and support an Android product. On the other hand, if they are being assimilated into the Apple collective then it makes no sense at all to expect them to continue with Android.
