Actually, I don't think "publish[ing] salary and promotion data" is truly insane. I think transparency is a great idea.

Great! So start your own company and do it! Go for it!

I would even go so far as to be in favour of requiring all companies over a certain number of employees (around 20 employees, say) being required to pubish salary data to all of their employees.

Ah, I see. Another fascist trying to tell others what to do. Classic SJW tactic. Carry on.

Everything that you and I and everyone else on Slashdot knows about the vaccines would fit in a fucking thimble. You don't know shit about vaccines. Neither do I. We are IT/computer guys. We don't know anything about mixing and matching COVID vaccines. No one does yet, including "health officials" and the WHO. There are studies in progress. And don't listen to the fucking WHO. They are bureaucrats. Listen to the scientists and the experts who actually run studies that have been peer reviewed. Until they say it is definitely OK, do not mix and match vaccines. That is common sense.

The politicized COVID response was over the top and the criticism of Trump on COVID was unwarranted. You can disagree, fine. But the numbers show the COVID death rate in the US is not even in the top 10 per capita so you have no basis for it. We got all the vaccines we need (and more). As your link even says: "In context, Trump did not say in the passage above that the virus itself was a hoax. He instead said that Democrats’ criticism of his administration’s response to it was a hoax." That is his opinion. I tend to agree with him. The criticism was a hoax to score political points. You need to get over Trump. Trump got you the vaccine. He got vaccinated and so should you. You need separate treatment for your TDS.

Correct. So where did compare them to other respiratory illnesses come from? Your quote was "they directly see long-term signs that aren't visible with other respiratory illnesses". The study did not do that. Other respiratory illnesses can have the same effect on the body. Some more than others. They obviously did not compare to all of them. I

Go fuck yourself, for those sarcasm quotes.

That wasn't sarcasm. I am directly calling you a liar.

She did not. She was perfectly healthy. Middle aged.

Right. Perfectly healthy until her immune system was stressed by COVID which literally 180 million of Americans were infected by (according to the CDC) and DIDN'T have those effects. You knew a healthy middle aged person who was hospitalized by COVID which represents about 0.001% of the hospitalized COVID patients. I really don't see the point of all those fake anecdotes of the pro-COVID crowd. You are only attempting to scare people and it is anti-Science.

It is doubtful the oil conglomerates are harming me. In fact they are providing me with a product that enables our current luxurious lifestyles. However higher taxes to transfer my taxpayer money to "green" efforts will definitely harm me in a very real way. So the real question is: why are you defending the transfer of taxpayer money from the lower/middle to the upper classes? That is guaranteed with the current "green" plan (here is a hint: the rich are not going to be affected by "green" legislation. You will though).

COVID would be a poor choice if you wanted a virus to kill a lot of people. Despite all the hype, COVID wasn't the highest killer in any country. Even in India it is the #7 cause of death. People are insane. If you want to kill people, change their diet to a Western diet so they die of heart disease and diabetes. And give them tobacco. That will kill them much faster than COVID.

Incorrect. There were/are lots of commercial launch providers all over the world. Do you think all satellites were launched by NASA??? You guys are ignorant of history and everything in general. Musk acolytes usually are. Also making rockets reusable does not "certainly" reduce cost in the long run. That is another fallacy that Musk pushes. How do you know if it is cheaper to "reuse" a rocket? SpaceX says it is, but who knows? Maybe it is more expensive than building a new one. The idea of reusing/landing rockets is not new either. it was proven to work in the 1960s, but not pursued. Musk didn't invent that either.
