If game developers attempt to leverage the differences between the various flavors, then I think you're right. But I think they'll make a concerted effort to run the other way. I seriously doubt that you'll see many (if *any*) games that absolutely require a hard drive. Its presence may enhance your game playing experience (downloadable content, integration of legally obtained digital music [wink, wink], etc.) but it won't preclude you from just playing the game. Besides, any developer creating a game for both Xbox 360 and PS3 would be crazy to base his design around the use of a hard drive.
And the rest of the differences between the proposed models shouldn't have any effect on game play (wireless controller, wireless headset, etc.)
