Bad news first--what seemed like a decent shot at getting my application for grad school looked at again has already been shot down. Oh wells.

I'm actually in a good mood, because I just I just got some sexy new hardware. You know, that thing I've been drooling over since it came out? Okay, technically it belongs to the group, but... my precious~~~.

Saw it coming, but the technicalities suggest it's not really anything to suggest better chances next time around... No biggie though.

As far as the MBP, however... wow. The only instability of any sort I've had so far: I accidentally reset the machine halfway through a WinXP install, and the installation got corrupted.
