relax, man. If I write code, I can place any restrictions on it I want. Personally, I like the BSD licence, but if you want to code something and release it under the gpl, thats fine to. Its your code. I do find some of the restrictions set forth on the gpl to be irritateing, and when I'm working on a project where those issues bug me enough, I dont use gpl code. Its easy, 'specally because most everything worth useing is alrealdy under the BSD or equivalant licence.

While i am rather firmly against comunisem, mostly because my geek nature and programming skills earn me a good bit over the adv. national per capita income at the age of 19, and I like my toys, but it is a interesting concept, even though it has been plagued with really crappy implamentations.

It really doesn't scale well, though. The regulatory functions get really fucked up when you get past several thousand people, or if you have a significant number of lazy/greedy people.

I think this is why capitolisem ultametly works better... comunisem relies on people working for the common good, and capitolisem relies on everyone being as greedy as possable.
