Why is that good, how does that motivate you to maybe go back to school, get that better job, start a business. Didn't say there weren't people like me, I said there isn't a place where people like me can go that doesn't have socialist policies governing the land. My source for people not paying taxes, my brother, he actually got paid by the feds this year. Straight up wealth distribution, right out of my pocket and into his, I made the right decisions in life, he screwed up and went to jail, now i pay for him. What do those evil rich people do with that money, umm they spend it or re-invest in a companies, both of which create high value jobs. I only have a bit of money, but look at the market/our debt, I don't see anywhere to put my money, so I sit on it. Meanwhile the fed just keeps printing money, essentially stealing from me without actually having to touch my money. Progressive taxes don't hurt the rich as much as it hurts there business. Its nothing for the rich to just park the money in another country, earn interest, and live well. Which is exactly what they will do if taxes are raised beyond a certain point, if they think they can do well pushing a business with that money they will. You keep saying I haven't shown Obamas job killing policies, but I have and they are blatent. Would you start a business in a country with a president proposing trillion dollar deficit budgets for the next how many years, all the while having a debt of 14 trillion, if so your a fool. He also shut down drilling, has said that he want to make coal so expensive the coal power plants die out, Obumcare is driving doctors out of practice - would you go to school for 8 years with that law staring you down?? Do i want a doctor just in it for the money, no, but if you remove money we absolutely will not have enough doctors. Please show me 1 single payer system that has increased the quality of medical care/technology anything like our system over the past 30 years. Heck with that, in a society that believes medical care is a right, then why would anyone become a doctor when everyone can just beat down there door demanding they must be serviced and if not they are being denied there rights. He also said recently that America wants to buy south americas oil, why is he so worried about spending our money instead of putting americans to work drilling?? I guess your right though, with 9.1% unemployment after 2+ years of his policies, yeah he is doing great. His "Wild Lands" policy is killing western jobs. Don't even get me started on NASA, actually recently did an excursion there off of my cruise, people around those parts are not happy at all. 10,000+ jobs going away. If you ask me NASA is one of the few government programs actually worth something. Shuttle needed to go eventually but we need another visionary program to keep these people working, not just shrink there budget and provide no vision. Ohh, he also absolutely killed used car sales a while ago with that car credit thing. I would cut Social Secuirty and Medicare slowly over 50 years allowing dependent people to die of being dependents, meanwhile the rest of us have to plan on how to pay for ourselves, just like I am working to do right now. There is nothing that says retirement is my right. Nothing that says my mom wont get sick next year and then need to move in with me, resulting in me having to take care of her, thats life. The extra motivation given to people who suddenly realize, ohh, i have to take care of myself, that will do way more for the economy in the long run than these entitlements. Then i would depend on local charities to help those with real problems, they are local enough to know who deserves the help and who doesn't. Thats my general plan, but I don't have to convince you of that because it doesn't matter, its going to happen one way or another because we cannot afford it. Your way will just be more painful.

I love the "And we're willing to pay for that" line, problem is your not. Half the country pays no tax, and a progressive tax system pushes almost all the burden on a few. Stop and ask yourself, if only a few pay taxes, then only a few actually care that the money is spent effectively. If everybody paid the same %, imagine how many people would get involved in local, state, federal politics. Wouldn't that be a good thing??? The current systems leads to most people not giving a dam about taxes or regulation, because it doesn't effect them. As long as someone else keeps paying for the roads, food stamps, and social security check, they don't care. Stop attacking me personally as a non-caring person. You need to wake up and argue issues. Just because the rest of the world does something, doesn't mean you should, and it doesn't mean they are right. Mob mentallity leads to overblown entitlements, which eventually leads to actual mobs like in Greece. Maybe you should read Ann Culters book Demonic, just came out. (I haven't read it yet, but heard it talked about.) For all your hatin on GOP and conservatives like me who want left alone, you haven't pointed me to any socialist plan that actually results in a balanced budget and extends the life of Medicare/Social Security long enough so that I will actual receive anything from those programs. Since I am sure your answer will be tax the rich, please show me a study that shows our enconomy can survive a large tax increase on a select few business owners.
