lateralus's Journal: Meetings = Dune

While sitting at a business meeting yesterday at work I was interested to find many similarities between my situation and the world described in a certain book by Frank Herbert called "Dune":

1) Meetings at my company are dryer than Arakis.
2) I'd rather drink my own sweat from the reservoir of my Stilsuit than the coffee from the machine down the hall.
3) Corporate management at my company are both uglier and more evil than the Harkonen.

My workplace has quieted down now that we have finished our recent downsizing. While the downsizing was taking place and no one was sure of his/her place I made up some games to deal with the excitement:

1) Am-I-Fired-Or-Not: This is a take on Am-I-Hot-Or-Not only with pictures of all the company employees and a scale that goes from 1 to FIRED.

2) Fired people lotto: You bet on the company ID number of those employees that will get fired, if you are right the grand prize is 3-weeks of job security!*
