Journal lateralus's Journal: I'm back 2
At long last life has slowed down enough for me to sit down and write.
Here is what's going on at my end.
This week was the killer week at work; at least 12 hours a day. People going all kinds of crazy, on my feet the entire time trying to calibrate LASERs and intense pulsed light devices with our physics department until we drop.
Every now and then the R&D bigwigs come in with the nerve racking "well, how are we doing?".
Thursday night I barely drove home alive and crashed, destroyed into bed.
No dreams; the sleep of the dead.
I don't mind hard work, actually I love it. So why am I bitching?
I'm bitching because while we worked our asses off, the company brass was meeting in the same building and discussing firing all of us. Yes, by this time next week I will most probably be unemployed.
I've taken great care of my finances this time around and I'm good for at least six months without a job.
So there.

No, not yet.
The fuckers are still of two minds, they sit back and chew the cud. They mull it over while some people with mortgages and children sit in boiling fat and wait for the axe to fall.
I'm OK, I don't have big loans or expenses so they have nothing on me.
