More flexibility than iOS

Hahaha, I'm not an iOS user but even Apple got rid of the itunes requirement to sync files, added an adblocker and is generally more hackable than a brick like WP

more polish than Android.

Are you referrering to the same WP where apps and contacts are nicely sorted but settings menus are a lowercase lists of randomly placed items?

Those CFL might cause a lot of radio noise and make videos look silly but they still run at some hundred kilohertz plus there's the persistence of of phosphors so they shouldn't affect humans much.
Not to defend them, but cheap CFL usually last longer than cheap LEDs where the LEDs aren't sufficently cooled and cook themselves.

bettery conditioning which maintains temperature conditions in the battery within an ideal operating range which greatly extends the lifespan of the battery

Even dumbphones suffered from battery degradation, despite not being able to get warm like a modern smartphone unless left in the sun. Unless it's Samsung the battery shouldn't get that hot.

Comment Re:Finally doing what they should have done (Score 1) 254

I'd say the cause is power management, older phones even at full power didn't suck up as much battery/current as modern ones can in a short time, because they only had a slow single core processor with 2 or 3 frequency scaling options. Cram too much power in without an adequate supply and rush to compete with other manufacturers and when the battery gets weaker the phone dies.

There aren't many elecric vehicles mainly because they're expensive (considering unknown battery lifespan) and funding for incentives has run out many years ago (there are some proposals for 2018), people who want a cleaner vehicle and with cheaper fuel usually convert their car to LPG.

Additionally various cities have wasted taxpayer money in the past on fleets of electric vehicles that were left unused in depots because lead-acid proved to be inadequate, which might have hindered more recent attempts.
